She is always the happiest when nakked in a hot springs or in this case a Bog creek. Also visits Dyke hot springs, dahhh! But those nasty tubs are knarly to the max.( I got a tub at home that is way cleaner than either.) So she had to stay at the Inn at Winnemacca and got a free hat at her favorite price. So it wasn't a total loss after all. LOL Комментарий от : @hestheMaster |

Recently discovered your channel, and have had a blast watching. Great content...fun and informative at the same time...lol. I've been to virtually every corner of the U.S., but some of the places I've been to the least (or have only passed through) are places you've taken us all along on your journeys - i.e. NW Nevada. Kudos on the channel, and thank you for some very enjoyable content! Safe travels and happy trails... Комментарий от : @richardcraniumOU812 |

NW Nevada was once a caldera point. The hotspot is now where Yellowstone National Park is. The continent has been moving over a magmatic plume 37°SW for a very long time. Since Nevada, there are 3 calderas that have formed from large eruptions to the present point. Комментарий от : @sonnydayz2118 |

I have been all through that area, Wonderhuss. The people at Denio Junction are ok. The guy who often tends bar there, will get drunk and tend bar buck naked. I have been to the Bog hot river many times. The horseflies are horrible there in summer. It is a cool place to visit during desert wildflower season. The landscape becomes a rain bow of color as flowers such as phlox, scarlet globe mallow, purple sage, prince's plume and many others display their beautiful blossoms. It is a great area for amateur herpetology, as there are a number of interesting reptile species. If you follow 140 west from Denio Junction, Baltizore hot spring is either just before, or just after Bog. It is on the south side of the highway, and you can see it easily because there are the ruins of an old homestead there. However, unless I somehow missed it, I saw no pools big enough to soak in. If you continue north from Denio Junction, you will be next to the Alvord Desert, very similar to Black Rock. A few miles up that road and you will see Alvord Hot Springs down on the edge of the playa. When I went there, people were soaking in the spring, but it was way too hot for my comfort. I don't know how they could stand it. No matter how inviting Alvord Desert looks, stay off it in winter and spring. In summertime you must stay off the dark patches on the playa. If you don't, you will end up with your vehicle mired up to the doors in mud. Another good thing to remember all through this area is that black widow spiders love the microclimate created by hot springs. I am not sure, but there may be some hot springs up on Steens Mountain. Hey Sarah! FYI those overhead pipes are to fill tanker trucks. Usually there’s a tank or pump associated with it but I don’t see either one. Is this prior to your current shades or is it just a break? Classy look regardless as always. Stay safe and have fun out there. 🙏❤️👍😎 Комментарий от : @kevinstonerock3158 |
I saw a video that shows Dyke springs tubs have been destroyed. Anybody got any info on this? Комментарий от : @cliftonbarringer2961 |
that structure is not there for showers! similar devices were a common feature on railways: used to fill steam locomotives with water. therefore one can assume that it was used to fill in water containers on wagons. Комментарий от : @dario1837 |
My cousin runs a lot of cattle out there in denio Комментарий от : @tomb306 |

Love your videos, my kinda places. Way back in the day my cousin's ex husband owned the town of De-NYE-oh which as you saw is basically one all purpose business. It was in the Guiness Book of Records for supposedly being on the state line of NV and OR. Комментарий от : @timenglert8998 |

No trip to Bog hot springs can be had without talk about the Stoplas getting stranded out there back in the 90's. Hey WH, See those mountains in the background at 2:36? There are some awesome lakes and mines up there to check out. No hot springs up there but there are great scenic lakes. Lol, looks like I left the same commment 8 months ago. Hey sis how do you get there? Комментарий от : @durtyhuggies |
The Winners Inn used to be the Sonoma Inn owned by Dan Sims and Jack Sommers ; my step father was the Controller/Auditor there for 9 years from late 40s to mid 50s. It used to be classy with a big time European chef, nightly orchestra, Rudy Redarte (sp) marimba/vibes player. Many celebrities stayed there including Bing Crosby and his brothers. They had ranches out Elko way and stopped to "party" for a few days. The Sonoma In was one of the largest hotel/casinos in the state until the mafia developed Las Vegas. As a result, Winnemucca tanked and we moved to the Monterey Peninsula in Calif. I lived there 1954-1957 just over 3 years. Loved the town. We spent every spare moment exploring Nevada (All this pre invasion and ruination such as the "Burning Man" BS.. (a rip off of Wicker Man) which further f'd up the state. Very pleased that much of the real Nevada is still there and too much trouble for the new age dope grower parasites and the yuppies and millennials (sp) to bother. I make it a point to not share what I have found in order to keep it like it was. Learned that the hard way, one word to the wrong person and it's over. Even found Springville which many say is probably in a location it is not. Good, let's keep it that way. There are other oasis and marvels in No Nevada... fantastic places, but mum is the word. And three cheers for the Basques, happiest, hardest working, hardest playing, salt of the earth folks I ever met. Комментарий от : @jeffhildreth9244 |
Loved the first hot springs. I watched your video about the water that made the highway and train tracks have to get moved an I wondered if there was an explosion of mist there. I watched a video from may 27 made by dutchsinse about it and then earthquakes followed the plum of steam. It was a good video you should check it out being it's so close to you. Mojave desert. Thanks wonderhussy, cheers Комментарий от : @chrisblack8390 |

Too hot in the tub? Perhaps (next time you visit) you should buy 3 maybe 4 bags of ice to cool off the water. 1bag at atime though Комментарий от : @stevene.sandefur3821 |
When you are in the area of the first hot spring, you were in the area of a young couple with their baby, last name Stolpa, who almost died trying to get to, I think it was Utah, during a blizzard in 1992. A movie with Neil Patrick Harris was made about their ordeal called "Snowbound: The Jim and Jennifer Stolpa Story" Комментарий от : @skyhawksailor8736 |
6:28 - That's a "howitzer" - a US Army WW II field gun (this one looks to be a small-ish: about 100mm shell). Not uncommon for small towns to petition The Government to deliver a de-commissioned weapon for display in the city/county square. Комментарий от : @nufosmatic |
I love your name, Wonderhussy. Whe you go to that desert, watch out for Scorpions rattlesnakes, and other snakes. Комментарий от : @allenmurray7893 |

Okay I looked at the map. The whole NW Nevada is full of hot springs. 130 degrees is way too hot maybe you should have let it run from one tub to the other tub. 130 degrees would take hours to cool down. Комментарий от : @greenspiraldragon |
