I coached peewee football and I’m gonna tell you the biggest boy on my team pissed himself when i told him to go in my son who was a 1/4 his size broke his hand jersey tackling a kid with a double block on him and the hardest hitter was a kid about average size but when you bump into to him it was like hitting a wall he was built solid and he didn’t show any muscle just looked average when he hit people they stopped like it was a wall

Cody didnt have black privilege, thats why he didnt get the offers black guys of his size got. Simple as that. If there wasnt so much aint white racism in sports cody would have gorre. Offers.for all those who scream how diversity makes anything and everything better why aint u crying for pro sports to reflect the population

@kkapp1854
I played cody and laid his ass out 3 times. First time nailed him 5 yards behind the line. Second time i sent his helemt clean off his head. The last time i rocked him he got up slammed the ball and ran off field crying. I PERSONALLY held him to 4 yards that game.

It was extremely hard to go d1 as an RB at 5'6 if you weren't 200 pounds. They really valued weight back then.

Also Darren sproles is 180 all day every day. As a running back the difference between a 4.52 and 4.46 is a big difference

A lot of stories on your channel end up sad even though you are the BEST at looking at the positives and, frankly, looking beyond the stats, what school, etc. This is such a good story. He "failed" in the eyes of an obsessed public, but to me he seems to have represented at least partly what NCAA football should be about. Yes, his college years appear to be driven by football, but in the end finding his way to a 'lesser' school, succeeding, developing confidence for his future, and, well, finding a wife who is a cheerleader (🙂 is a pretty good accomplishment before you are 24.

@tylerjoseph5968
I respect the fact that while many youtube channels may have looked for a reason to knock the guy, you came to his defense. I mean he was a kid and had never asked for that level of internet fame, that’s just an unfair burden placed upon his shoulders. I look at young kids who get this sort of fame early on and I almost feel sorry for them like Baby Gronk for example, he’s just a little kid trying to play football and his father has put him in a position by creating social media accounts using his name and making bold statements on his behalf. No matter how well the kid does later in life he’s going to feel pressure and he’s likely going to feel like a bust because of the unrealistic claims that his father makes on his behalf. It’s just an unfair situation all around for the kids. Just let them be kids and play ball.

Good story, he does remind me of Woodhead. A buddy of mine went to high school with Danny Woodhead, he said all the weight room records are still held by Woodhead.

I think Cody and alot of other players in all sports should have gotten more of a shot but thats the way it goes. Even alot of the guys that made it almost didn't.

Didn't Jordan get cut from his high school team. Brady and woodhead almost got cut from the pats early in there careers. Other guys get handed everything and fizzle out after afew years.

@paxhumana2015
I wish that the University of Saint Thomas, which, although was a NCAA Division III school at the time, is now a Division I - Football Championship Series school, or The University of Mount Union (Ohio), which is still a NCAA Division III school, came to call him because both of those programs are, quite literally, the apex predators of the American football world. Now why I am saying this is simple and that is, in the case of the University of Saint John's (Minnesota), the Johnnies were such a powerful team in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as well as almost every other team in the NCAA Division III level, that they were literally paid to not only leave the MIAC, but to also leave NCAA DIII college football as well...seriously, go look it up online. Now the University of Mount Union Purple Raiders on the other hand, particularly between a father and son pair of coaches, have the following records.

The two longest winning streaks in NCAA College Football history (54 wins from 1996 to 1999 and 55 wins from 2000 to 2003).
A record of 7 or more win seasons for 59 consecutive seasons.
A record of 30 conference titles.
A record of 21 appearances in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl (which is the NCAA Division III equivalent of the NCAA Division I - Football Bowl Series National Championship), with 13 wins.
A record of 12 completely undefeated seasons.
A record of 31 NCAA Division III playoff appearances.
The coach with the highest winning percentage in NCAA College Football history (Larry Kehres with a .929 winning percentage for a head coach career that spanned from 1986 to 2012).
The highest winning percentage of a head coach of any American football team.
The highest winning percentage of any coach under any level of any sport in sports history worldwide.

Now while their overall record is 758-356-17 (.657), and the school has had a football team since 1893, had the entire existence of the football program been like it was during the 59 most recent seasons, I assure you that even big boys like Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Alabama would not have coldly dismissed their college football program. However, as good as those programs have been during the same time, the University of Mount Union (Ohio) honestly has been on a whole other level. I honestly would love to see them also get called up to at least the NCAA Division I - Football Championship Series level one day because their game is on a level with the big boys overall.

Now as for the University of Saint John's, they were no slouches, either, as, although John Gagliardi did not has as many appearances in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, he does have some fairly impressive records of his own. More importantly, the Johnnies College Football program has a slightly better overall win-loss record, with a 653-251-24 (.717) all time over the Purple Raiders, but, at the same time, the Johnnies College Football program also has played seven less seasons than the Purple Raiders. Here are the records for the Johnnies.

2 NCAA Division III Championships.
2 NAIA Championships.
The only college football coach to have NCAA Championships in two different sports (he also briefly coached the University of Saint John's ice hockey team).
The only college football coach to have won both NCAA and NAIA Championships.
5 undefeated seasons.
59 winning regular seasons.
34 conference titles.
The longest American football head coach career of anyone in history (63 years, from 1949 to 2012).
The second highest winning percentage in NCAA Division III College Football history (with a 75.32% winning percentage).
The second highest winning percentage in NCAA College Football history under a single head coach.

Needless to say, had either one of those schools came to call on Cody Paul, well, let me just say that he would have made people no longer sleep on these two highly underrated college football programs, let alone on himself. Finally, I think that Cody Paul could have very likely been the quarterback version of Jevon "The Freak" Kearse...imagine that if you will, @FlemLo Raps.

Комментарий от : @paxhumana2015

@roo2127
I think many might say that his recruitment was hurt by his size and maybe his demographic.
It would probably be easier to rest on that alone as it is a nice easy quick judgement.

Systems of football progressed in a way that there may have been set backs due to offensive systems that progressed into todays game where passing is the most critical part of offense in football.
I do not see many clips of Cody Paul running passing routes only running the ball.

I think it would be interesting to see if there is any footage of him involved in the passing game.
The backs you compared him to as far as size and speed could all (1 of them I am not sure of) be very good receivers and in the case of Darren Sproles the YAC (Yards after catch) were amazing at times.

Love your vids as they are well doen and thought provoking and give fair questions.
Keep up with the good work.

What's the big deal? Children develop at different rates and begin and end at different time periods. Only a moron would look at a 10 year old competing against other 10 year olds and predict he will make the pros. Even when he is competing against older boys you need to wait until those boys have caught up in physical maturity and emotional development before you can determine his future prospects.

I am so grateful to be alive today. My girlfriend saved my life last night. This is a selfie I took in the emergency room after having a severe allergic reaction to almonds. I went into anaphylaxis, meaning my face, my lips, my eyes, my tongue, and my throat all started swelling up rapidly, making it almost impossible for me to breathe. I also had a rash all over my entire body, and I was extremely red. Staying alive had never felt more difficult. At one point, my nasal passage was completely blocked, and it was getting more and more difficult to breathe. They shot me up with Benadryl, steroids, they gave me a breathing tube, and even other stuff that I can’t even remember, and it caused all of the swelling and the rash to go away. Because this was a severe allergic reaction, I need to continue taking steroids and Benadryl for the next week, because it is possible that the allergic reactions could come back at any point over the next week. The steroids and Benadryl make me feel like a zombie, and I really want to take care of my health, so this will be my main focus over the next week. I want to thank my amazing girlfriend, who made the decision to take me to the emergency room the second I started feeling itchy. I was hesitant about going, because I didn’t even want to believe this was actually happening. If it weren’t for my girlfriend driving me to the emergency room only minutes after eating the almonds, there is a good chance that I wouldn’t have made it according to the doctor. This has been without a doubt the hardest few days of my life, but I also look at them as the most important few days of my life. These moments have reminded me about what’s really important in life, and it has made me so grateful to even be here on this earth. I will be prioritizing my health over the next week, and I’ll post updates about how I feel. Thank you all for being patient during these difficult times. This week has been NUTS (too soon for jokes? 😅)

Wow, never heard of him. I remember my pop warner pee wee football, it was crazy fun and exciting. Unfortunately many people peak in sports too early.
