 | About a week ago, I had to go in a taxi to school for the first time and was worried about it as I had never done it before. The night before, I went to sleep and had a dream that the taxi turned up and this horrible old man was driving it who kept being really angry and abusive. He even punched me in the face and then I woke up to this song thinking it was the middle of the night but it was only 11pm and I had a funny taste in my mouth. This song reminded me that i needed to be strong and do what I needed to do so I did the taxi and it was fine.  | This song encapsulates everything that I have felt through my journey out of the darkness of internalised shame from incestuous child sexual abuse - The rubble of the love of my brother which became sour through the grooming and sexual abuse. I mourn the family that I should have had. It took me a long time to notice my denial of that loss. The way that the trauma wasn't solely the situation, but the loss of the love that I thought I had.
