I have a 08 F250 with the V10 and it's been a good truck. Only has 52,000 miles, so it should have a lot of life still in it. 6.4L, I'd probably run the opposite direction😂

@pruitt3507
Having it in auto 4wd will bring it down also

@murdered1415
Definitely a great fuel sipping engine but add the premium over the gas engine, def fluid, fuel filters and more expensive oil and engine filter and diesel being 60¢ more per gallon and it's basically a wash $$ wise versus a gasser in same trim that gets 21 highway, plus this little diesel needs a bit more time on the road to get some issues worked out yet.

@TurboMalibuV6
$67,000!!! Jeez, GM really reamed some holes with the new body style trucks with those prices. I gave $70,500 for a 2019 GMC 2500HD Denali Duramax with only 27 mils on it. Sold it for $70,200 with only 17,982 miles a week ago.
Комментарий от : @TurboMalibuV6

@danielcastaneda4842
Was able to get 38.5 mpg on my 2020 sierra AT4 on a trip from Chicago to Ottawa…of course I was trying.

@thomaslathrop5438
Put the truck in 2wd,,,auto keeps the front locker spinning reducing you fuel economy,,,,my babydurmax averages 32.2mpg at 60mph cruise set
Комментарий от : @thomaslathrop5438

@tellitallnow3914
That's freaking crazy. I paid 67,000 to an acre of land 1400 square foot rancher, 30 x 60 pole shed. No freaking way in hell I'll ever spend that kind of money on a dam vehicle. But to each their own!! I'll buy the used ones!!
Комментарий от : @tellitallnow3914

@christcrucified6385
My 21 4wd Silverado rst z71 gets about the same even in 2wd mode and is also always a little better (1-2 mpg) when I do the math myself.

@zackman6727
Nice truck. To bad you have to pull the trans to put a new oil pump belt on at 150000 miles. Their goes your big savings on fuel. If it was less than a grand I'd be surprised for the maintenance. Of course if you have a hoist it's only 50 bucks to do yourself.
Комментарий от : @zackman6727

@jacobzirkle9153
I just bought this truck and love the engine

@jetlee7743
Got one on hold ..3.0 sle ..test drive was good. Lights on low beam shows dark spots on left and right turns. Perhaps fog lamp would correct. Led does not aim high enough for hill accent . High beams are good. Stock wrangler tirea look ok for city driving ..surprised on an off road pkg. Matts need changing to all weather mats. Engine is great..inline 6 should always be the norm.
Комментарий от : @jetlee7743

@danlux4954
How about city mileage and temperature of the engine without an engine bra.?
Комментарий от : @danlux4954

@mikejohnson8193
Great job on the video. I really like that they went with a diesel engine, and that fuel economy is great. The only problem I see is the price. Everything thing else I like. I had seen one like the one you drove in Decatur Illinois for 55000.
Комментарий от : @mikejohnson8193

@geogrejetson444
Need a REAL road test! few people drive 55-60 mph. Let me have the truck Erie Pa to Ruskin Fla non stop set cruse at 75 with a 840lb Harley in the back 1175 miles 17hrs or less a REAL test

@tony8512
Lol again gmc garbage! Toyota Tacoma with a 3.5 v6 gas is still more efficient for $23,000 less. Relatively towe the same as well. Lets not forget the DEF fluid that actually has to be put in and the higher repairs not to mention the regeneration that has to happen. This now makes it way less fuel efficient than there gas 5.3 v8. Great GM you have put painted lips on a pig and it's still a pig.

@SummitAggregates
It needs to be noted, if you really want mileage, you need to go to a Michelin Defender or Firestone TransForce...this will enable another 1-1.5 mpg. And either of those tires are really good in the rain and very good in the snow --- also...below I mentioned the single speed transfer case...along with that, comes 17" tires --- if you spec with the dual range(2speed) transfer case, you can opt for 18" rubber, where you can get to an LT "C" load range tire, where the sidewall is stiffer, thus enabling another 0.5 mpg. It is possible to get 30mpg out of this truck, running it in normal mode, a premium 18" "C" loadrange highway tire...and responsible driving
Комментарий от : @SummitAggregates

@SummitAggregates
I whole heartedly agree with Swath Diver below...if you run a vehicle in "auto", that either leaves the transfer case or front axle engaged, so when you run the auto, you're losing about 2mpg all the time...which is not necessary --- it's also useful to mention...that truck was spec'ed with the SINGLE SPEED TRANSFER CASE...meaning, you DO NOT have low range...there is a new Terrain Mode...but that's a fancy name for some tech features where the truck applies the brakes and disengages the torque converter to maximize underfoot traction and greater useable driving ability.
Комментарий от : @SummitAggregates

@tomrunning357
Should you add the DP fluid to the litres used fuel mpg and the total cost per mile.

@mfslyphantom8811
If there is that much fuel economy difference between the GMC and the Chevy, what kind of dumbass would knowingly buy the GMC? Most people probably don’t know this (if it’s true, I had no idea myself) or even consider whatever the difference is would have such a great effect which makes me think it’s bullshit. You know who probably said this was a dealer, anyone that had ever went to buy a GM truck and asked the salesperson “Why should I buy one over the other” has undoubtably heard the crazy shit dealers lie about to make the sale, I have heard too much to list here and none of it was true.
Комментарий от : @mfslyphantom8811

@kellyfontes7757
You have some factors there like using the all wheel drive and those tires that I'm never in a have in the Southwest. But more importantly what is the break even in cost and mileage with the diesel versus the gas engines
Комментарий от : @kellyfontes7757

@marks6491
All diesel fuel sold in Canada except for Yukon and Northwest Territory, is a minimum of 2 percent biodiesel. This means more complete combustion and better fuel mileage than U.S. diesel fuel, because the bio portion has a high oxygen content. It's worth about 2 MPG. GM tests the power and fuel mileage with synthetic oil and a 20 percent biodiesel fuel. Now you know.
Комментарий от : @marks6491

@AndrewBrowner
when is a manufacturer gonna make a 2door 8ftbox truck capable of doing some work and hauling with no luxury options just bare bones an reliable for a reasonable price... guess theres no money to be made in selling or fixxing those, its what most people want that no one offers though 40k for the cheapest most stripped out truck is outrageous

@georgiafan6618
$67k is insane for a 1500. For that sum, might as well go for the 2500 Duramax diesel with over 900 ft lbs of torque. The straight 6 Duramax is a good engine W/amazing 10speed and 30 mpg is incredible. I like the current interior on the GM trucks - it’s easy to use. However, the new Tahoe/Suburban interiors are beautiful but the push button trans is a mistake. Why not a rotary dial or small gear selector on the console? Truck prices are out of control. My 2002 Duramax was like $38k loaded lol. GM is making bank on these trucks/SUVs

Good god. I bought my 2017 Silverado 1500 High Country 6.2L, fully loaded sans a sunroof, for that kind of money here in AB. The 6.2L is about a $3300 option, or it was anyway. How can a truck like this with less options be the same cost that is crazy.

@buckaroobonsi555
The problem was that they needed this product 15 years ago. Now it is a day late and dollar short unless the USA rolls back their emission standards and becomes diesel friendly. If they had released this diesel before the bail out and made it available in 1/2 trucks and any cars that used a V8 they could have been the first to market in a big way and had an impact. Now though it is a day late and a dollar short and is rather uneventful. It would also have been a real game changer if there was no premium up-charge for it! In this way it could have be an industry changing shift!
