 | I have the Akaso V50X and am very happy with it. I found a firmware bug with the camera and nearly returned it to Amazon but contacted Akaso who responded within a few hours on email with a fix that worked. Ie download a new version of the firmware. The camera cost about £80 on Amazon comes with everything you could ever want in the way of hardware. The wrist remote is great on an ebike. The mounts are well made and sturdy, the 4K is smooth as is the image stabilisation and gyro mode. I have no links to Akaso I’m just a user but if I had to buy a camera again I’d have no hesitation in going for the V50X especially as it’s about $100ish on Amazon. Customer service was excellent and much better than I expected. I recently took some slow motion 4K shots and they worked out really well of a fast moving steam train. ps I’m a photographer so have a good eye for image quality!  | Never buy Akaso I purchased an action camera "Akaso V50 pro SE" for $141 that was broken from Aliexpress. Akaso suggested if I pay $61, then they will send a new one without returning broken one. I can't return it because of Pandemic. So I paid another $61. But they haven't sent the item for a long time and talk to me to open dispute and just refund $61. They never refund me $141. I couldn't do anyting to get a $141 refund because the fiest order has already been completed. They are crooks.  | The YI 4k+ also has a universal screw mount on the bottom which is very convenient. BUT, the stabilization is terrible (just like you showed in your video).  | While I own the Yi 4K and a GoPro 6 Black, at the end of the day I think it's safe to assume that one would be buying an action camera mainly for video/image quality and all other things would be secondary.  | Thanks for this information. I have a Gopro Hero 7 white that i use as a sort of vlogging camera as addition to my Panasonic camcorder. The Gopro is a good camera for the video's that i make. And the sound is ok because i'm never far from the camera when i talk to the camera. Looking at the different camera's in your test, i think i will stay with Gopro and even buy the new model now.  | I have the Yi 4K+ It has been good but audio isn’t very good. When volume is set to low, it’s acceptable but external mic options are very limited. Oddly mine did not come with the mic cable that yours did. Maybe that’s a newer item to address the audio issues.  | You can always get the same hardware for cheaper price, but the reason why GoPro is priced high is because of its software enhancements.  | The GoPro stabilization wasn't accurate to the actual scene, it was over processed. GoPro has had more time to outsource it's inner parts in Asia so obviously it will be the top choice, but give it time and the big companies are going to out do them. 400$ for a piece of plastic is a lot of money. Maybe GoPro has benefitted from YouTube quite a bit, without a medium to tell the world look at me my life is so amazing and I am so amazing what is the point of them?
