 | Somebody just graduated film school. We had the black and white. We had people talking to each other from a long way away for no good reason. We had a stripper dressed in a proper fireman's outfit showing not an inch of flesh because he was a fireman. We had sitting in a car for a minute without saying anything to the driver before getting out without saying a word. 25 mins and I am out. The first 2 episodes being slow but it is a great show, is an excuse that doesn't wash. Great shows are great from minute one to hook the audience then are consistently great in every episode.  | Two things. 1) There is so much content these days that a show like Perpetual Grace LTD can come and go without fanfare. It doesn't show up as a suggestion in my YouTube search until I've gotten to the G in Grace. 2) With all due respect to Sir Ben Kingsley's title/knighthood, it is an unwritten rule of showbiz that titles aren't used in the workplace. | I think this was the show of 2019...Personally I loved everything about it. The tone, the cinematography, the storyline, the complexity to the characters, music, humour, score...for me, everything was done amazingly well in this grounded but surreal universe they've put together here.
